REBIRTH… (January)

It all started with my very own re-birth (the real me, the full me coming out – watch out!! – laughter), as I realized that I have only been partially offering, through private coaching, the profound gift that lies in me. Today, I am embracing and accepting my full gift: I am much more than a coach… I am a powerful teacher and mentor! Aaaaah – it feels good to claim my truth!

While I appreciate my ego protecting me from being hurt or making a fool of myself, I am not such a fan when it keeps me from shining my full light. In this case, it has not only been protecting me from using my full talent (work with crowds – seminars, public speaking, keynote presentations, etc.), but also has kept -or should I say ‘trapped’- me in the willpower mode.

 

 

RETIRE… (February)

Retiring doesn’t mean doing NO-thing. It is about doing the things that need to be done -with consciousness!

One of my mentors said to me: “Stéphanie, if you are pouring your heart towards something, investing all of your time, money and efforts without getting the results that you want – you might as well stay home and relax”.

Duh! It hit me: I realized that my willpower had been my greatest enemy. Being so passionate and enthused about sharing my secrets to living a rapturous, ecstatic life, I forgot that the Universe had a ‘plan’ for me. Not just ‘a’ plan, in fact… but ‘the’ plan that I had been dreaming about since I was 6 years old!!!!

So here I was, expanding my business by designing programs, promoting them, building relationships with my clients – doing it all! And, in the end… having no energy left for the real gift: teaching!

The level of fatigue I was under, the amount of frustration, the bullet-proof block to abundance that I had created by thriving from “the will that can kill” -as I call it-, gave me little or no option: to retire… stop DOING – start BEING!

Duh #2! I’ve been forcing my vision and refusing to surrender to the additional power that was handed to me. Go figure… In order to let the real ‘plan’ unfold, I had to go to one of the scariest places for a woman:

 

 

SURRENDER… (March)

Surrendering doesn’t mean doing NO-thing. It is about letting go of control!

You see, I had a plan: to move from coaching to mentoring and teaching via my new ‘playshops’. I had poured my heart, energy and time into developing these new programs, along with a curriculum offering momentum and constant support to the soldiers (clients) of the LOVE ARMY (the program).

While I had dreamed all along that I would have a beautiful, strong, spiritual man to teach by my side… when he showed up in my life, it was another thing to ‘allow’ him to be part of my journey. That’s right:  I suddenly became somewhat confused with my journey and life purpose: Doug is now in my life… but “I” had started my dream! As I was enjoying the blessings of having his help and support, my biggest question was “does SURRENDERING mean that I have to let him take over?” I was so afraid to lose my identity that it was nearly impossible for me to surrender… until I had no choice once I naturally went through the rebirth and then retire modes.

I powerfully learned the art of surrendering which, ultimately, was about embracing the gifts that were presented to me (my man = additional help) and letting go of control (about how “I” see things happening… and when… and how).

It was about trusting that, by allowing Doug to help in my life (especially with my business), I was not losing my identity… but gaining additional power!

 

 

POWER… (April and the bright future ahead…)

Duh #3! Two engines, Stéphanie, you now have TWO engines!!! Talk about additional power!! You don’t have to do it all alone!

While a hint of resistance was still in my heart (probably still to some degree today – com’on, one doesn’t change a 37-year old pattern overnight, nor over a month or a year!!), today I understand that surrender is crucial to power in one’s life!

It is in one of my dreams (I always ask for guidance before going to sleep) that I had the most profound revelation and answer to my ‘life dilemma’!

The dream: I was watching a space shuttle take off. It consisted of two rockets joined together, each one with a separate engine. As the shuttle started to take off, I noticed that one of the engines was not working. Immediately, I wondered “Can this shuttle fly with only one engine…??” As I was asking this question to people around me, our eyes fixed on the two joined rockets taking height in the sky, the one with the dead engine separated itself from the other and fell on the ground. I kept watching the other one continuing its rapid vertical climb and now asking myself “Can this rocket make it on its own?” Soon after that thought, the spaceship began to lose launch power, stopped its climb and slowly turned around to plummet towards the earth. It crashed right before our eyes and the body of the shuttle spun on the ground and ended up just a few meters away from my feet.

Here was my answer: as I was struggling to get my business going alone, resisting the added ‘engine’ of my wonderful partner (though desired all along!!), I took off… and it didn’t take long to lose my launch power and slowly crash!!

 

The gift in this experience…

I had been doing life on my own for so long that when that which I desired so deeply (my true love) appeared, I was extremely challenged to open to him and receive his love and support. Hence the added struggles that led to exhaustion.

Today, as I’m learning the art of relaxing in my man’s embrace, I’ve opened the doors to abundance in many areas of life: creativity, energy, business opportunities, sexuality, spirituality, etc.

REBIRTH…

ü Where, in YOUR life, do you feel you don’t quite own your truth?

ü Are you forcing something to happen (a business deal, a relationship, a trip somewhere, a pregnancy, etc.?)

SURRENDER…

ü What are you afraid to lose (i.e. identity, pride, need to be right, a habit, etc), that, in the end, could bring you more power?

ü What are you trying to control in your life?

POWER…

ü Is the help or support that you’ve been looking for right in front of you… and you refuse to see it?

ü Are you open to receive the assistance you’ve been asking for?

 

I trust that, by answering to the questions above, you gained a much clearer understanding of where you have lost some of your power in your life.

The closest person that can provide support to you may be your partner, a friend, a work colleague or a family member. Beside my life partner, I personally have been blessed with the presence of both my mentor and my personal coach who have helped me see my ‘stuff’ with more clarity. They offered me genuine feedback that allowed me to not only make major shifts in my life, but make them much quicker than I would have done alone.
